I study the cognitive science of learning and motivation, primarily in video games. I am a member of the Cascade Lab and the Human-Computer Interaction research group at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am also a founding member of the SpatialCS research group, which brings together students and faculty across computer science, education, psychology, and engineering to study technology-based approaches to training spatial reasoning skills in children and adults. I am co-advised by Professor Wai-Tat Fu and Professor Brian Bailey.
Do you like to play games?
Help us design a spatial skill training game, test your spatial skills, and learn what your primary motivations for playing games are with our online survey and test! It only takes about 20 minutes (page may take a few seconds to load) - go here to take the survey and test:survey.spatial.cs.illinois.edu
